Last weekend saw over 3,000 bikers ride from Shrewsbury to Shropshire to raise money for the Wings Appeal. The group delivered Easter Eggs at the end of the journey to the families of past and present RAF personnel and injured servicemen and women. Where is the fancy dress twist you’re asking? Well some of the participants took it upon themselves to add a splash of colour to the affair and donned Easter fancy dress outfits.

A few weeks ago I mentioned that the staff from Lincoln Audi were taking part in a 10k fancy dress run for Cancer Research so I thought I would update you on their commendable efforts.

So we had three lucky chaps all in fancy dress taking on the 10k challenge. There was Superman fancy dress, Batman fancy dress and of course his trusty sidekick in a Robin fancy dress costume.

The guys successfully completed the run, despite the hindrence of fancy dress capes, masks and jumpsuits! They exceeded their fund raising target by miles so well and truly deserve a pat on the back.

With Andrew Lloyd Webber’s recent talent contest underway on BBC One to find the next Dorothy and Toto there has been an increase in demand for Wizard of Oz fancy dress outfits. Wizard of Oz is always a popular fancy dress theme and Dorothy fancy dress outfits are always a popular women’s fancy dress idea. You can’t go wrong with the gingham dress and hair bows! This week has seen a flurry of new fancy dress costumes at Party Britain. There have been new delights for all fancy dress themes! It seems that fun was not had by all this St Patrick’s Day. A bank robber in a Leprechaun fancy dress costume was killed after a dramatic robbery attempt. The armed robber in his fancy dress outfit stormed into a bank near Tennessee and demanded that the staff hand over money.

The robber then fled, still in his fancy dress costume to a car where his partner in crime was waiting. It is unknown whether the driver was wearing a fancy dress costume or not. As the getaway car fled the robbers were firing shots at the police. The Leprechaun fancy dress costume did not bring the thieves much luck as they crashed shortly after and were involved in a gun battle with the police. The robber in fancy dress was killed in the shoot out and the other committed suicide at the scene. Thankfully no one else was harmed.

Hopefully there were no other tragic tales this St Patrick’s Day and plenty of fun was had with Irish fancy dress costumes and fancy dress accessories, oh and a spot of Guinness for good measure!

We often wonder what happens to Big Brother contestants year after year. Do they actually make something of themselves or do they continue their lives as wannabe celebs? Remember Pete Bennett? No, ok well just think crazy hair, crazy dress sense, stuck his tongue out a lot and oh he has tourettes. Well Pete has hit the headlines years after winning Big Brother with a fancy dress wedding! Who would have thought?!

Pete tied the knot with Cherry Constain in fancy dress outfits in a tent in Brighton. There was an interesting array of fancy dress costumes including the bride choosing a witch fancy dress outfit. Pete went for an interesting take on a tux – with a black fancy dress top hat with a purple trim, grey waistcoat and a purple fancy dress tie.
