With the recent release of Michael Jackson’s This Is It film which gives an awesome insight into his preparation for his sold out concerts that were due to take place earlier this year, it has presented an opportunity for his army of fans to pay tribute to him in so many ways. It is pleasing to see that the majority of them involve fancy dress costumes of some sort!
Michael Jackson’s popularity is so huge that The Observer predicted that Michael Jackson’s fancy dress costumes were to be the most popular fancy dress ideas this Halloween.
It seems that Party Britain customers embraced the celebration of Michael Jackson’s legacy in true fancy dress style this Halloween. The glitzy Billie Jean Gloves, Beat It wigs, Bad wigs, Billie Jean fancy dress costumes and Michael Jackson Thriller fancy dress outfits were all Halloween hits this year. What a great way to celebrate the life of such a great star by donning a fancy dress costume and singing your heart out – no guarantee on the quality of voice though!
The Hard Rock Cafe in Delhi celebrated Michael Jackson’s life last weekend with a Thriller themed evening, which was sure to involve some spectacular fancy dress and dance moves.
The town of Huntly showed their admiration for the King of Pop by taking part in a fancy dress dance tribute. This involved over sixty people performing Michael Jackson’s Thriller video in fancy dress costumes. This was all part of the Huntly Hairst festival last weekend.
If you’ve taken part in a Michael Jackson tribute, big or small we’d love to hear about it!

As ever Halloween cannot pass without a bit of fancy dress drama. Last weekend was no exception with Halloween brawls and celebrities going all out with their fancy dress costumes there was no shortage of Halloween fancy dress stories this year. Forgetting the brawls and violence (as they are just no fun), here are a few Halloween fancy dress gems that I have come across…
The Saturday’s Mollie King didn’t really embrace the Halloween fancy dress theme but still looked rather hot in her Baywatch fancy dress gear, dressing up for a friends birthday bash. Michelle Obama got into the spirit of trick or treating with her sassy leopard fancy dress outfit…but where was Barack Obama’s fancy dress?
An annual nude pumpkin run has a sour taste this year with the participants being in line for indecent exposure charges if they were to take part. The participants would do the run naked apart from a hollowed out pumpkin on their heads…now that really is a fancy dress idea with a difference.
Kelly Osbourne and her boyfriend went along to Heidi Clums annual Halloween fancy dress bash dressed in bacon and eggs fancy dress costumes – very popular fancy dress outfits I must add! Brad and Angelina didn’t let their kids miss out on any fancy dress trick or treating fun – they all hit the streets looking awesome. Angels and Demons star, Ewan McGregor managed to trick fellow fancy dress party goers that he was in fact Ozzy Osbourne. His fancy dress costume and mannerisms to go with it were so realistic that he managed to pull it off.
If you have any Halloween fancy dress headlines to share then let us know – we’d hate to miss out!

Hello fancy dressers! I hope that you all had a terrifically terrifying time this Halloween and that your fancy dress costumes went down a treat. We were extremely busy bees last week and had heaps of fun organising the dispatch of your fancy dress outfits. Despite the rather annoying hindrance of the Royal Mail strike action we managed to send out hundreds of fancy dress costumes each day. Check out our Facebook fan page for a pic of our courier driver Ian, who really had his work cut out with truck loads of costumes!
You party goers really went for it with your fancy dress costumes this year I must say. Ten out of ten for effort, with the fancy dress outfits getting finished off to super high standards with plenty of Halloween fancy dress accessories. There was face paint, blood gel and gruesome vampire teeth a plenty!
Well I hope you all enjoyed your Halloween fancy dress, we’re looking forward to seeing those pictures! There is no rest for us here at Party Britain, we’re charging head on preparing for your next fancy dress fest…Christmas! Yes it’s just around the corner and we’re going to have fancy dress costumes galore for you to choose from.
Until next time….
